Re: AS254 - W7x64 & System32
It doesn't find the files at all....even in the SysWOW64. Search even fails. I'm hoping there is a solution, but may have to look into an alternative for x64 systems then Salamander.

AS254 - W7x64 & System32
Facing an annoying problem with W7x64. I need to get to the system32 folder to copy/move files. I know the file is in the System32 folder since I can see it with Windows Explorer, but Salamander can't see the file in the System32 folder. Any ideas?

You can turn off UAC but you can't turn on x64 supportEric wrote:I don't get it why the people are voting for x64 and not UAC support.

Re: 64 bit version?
I thought I'd give this thread a gentle nudge before it gets to its 3rd birthday :( We've now migrated virtually every server in our infrastructure to x86_64. About 1/3 of our desktops are now 64bit and the other 2/3 will be rapidly moving away from 32 bit computing. Yet, here we all are, still on ...

Re: Altap Salamander: UAC support
You won't get any benefits out of running salamander in x64... x64 just gives you more memory addresses, which we don't need. x64 only helps in applications which do lots of calculation or lots of memory usage. I don't think you have used Salamander in x64 and you need to run Salamander in x64 to k...

W7x64-7Zip Right Context Menu Not showing in Salamander
Trying to zip up a file with 7Zip and if I right click on the files within Salamander, the context menu does not appear. It does appear however if I am within Explorer. Works fine on XP. Haven't been able to test to see if it is a x64 issue or a W7 issue with Salamander. Anyone notice this?

BUMP
Not sure if this is related, but I just installed Beta#2 and tried the FTP plugin on GoDaddy.com. I was able to connect and it just hung waiting to download directory listing.
