It's a funny thing, but I never miss a tree view inside Salamander. I think trees work better with mouse, but dual-pane navigation works much better with a kbd. That said, I've been doing it that way for 20-odd years now, so old habits die hard

Re: Internal Viewer - Tail Functionality
Effectively, I do this at the moment: F3 -> End -> Esc -> F3 -> End -> Esc....
Actually, all that you need to do is move somewhere else in the file and then again to the end. (So instead of Esc, F3, End , you can do Home, End , or PageUp, PageDown as I like to do).

Internal Viewer - Tail Functionality
As a feature request, I would like to have some sort of tail functionality built into the internal text viewer plugin.
i.e. F3 -> <enable tail> -> file tracks automatically.
Effectively, I do this at the moment: F3 -> End -> Esc -> F3 -> End -> Esc....
Also, the files I'm viewing are large trace ...

7-zip password length limited to 30?
To reproduce:
Using the 7z plugin, create an archive containing a single file. Select encrypt, enter a 30 char password, create archive. Use integrity check to confirm that it can decrypt ok.
Now repeat with a 31 char password. Note the CRC error when trying to extract / test the archive.

Re: Multivolume Archives That Do Not Split Files
Sorry, can't help you with your problem, but thanks for reminding me of ARJ. I don't think I've used it for nearly 15 years

Re: 64 bit version?
I've been having a little fish today and it looks like there might be a simple solution available for the short term.
There's a special folder called "sysnative" provides access to the 64 bit system32 folder, even from a 32 bit process. Unfortunately, this folder isn't visible from AS, although it ...

No issues here, apart from the normal ones caused by running AS under x86_64 Windows.

Re: What next? Vote please: x64 version or UAC support
x86_64 support all the way. Not remotely bothered about UAC.
For me, lack of 64 bit support is now insanely annoying (mostly, it has to be said, because of Microsoft's mental directory mapping mess)

Re: 64 bit version?
I thought I'd give this thread a gentle nudge before it gets to its 3rd birthday :(

Licensing - per user, or per PC?
I have a small team of 4 support engineers managing some 70+ servers. If I wanted to install AS on each server, would I need 4 licenses or 70+?
Also, any news on the MSI installer, or should I roll my own instead...?
Thanks,
Daern
