Re: Empty file list when working with GoDaddy's FTP servers
The Raw Listing was empty. However, upon logging in, I got an error message, which I will attach here. At the end, it recommended that I try passive mode. Switching to it has resulted in successful interaction with that FTP server. I didn't have to do that in FileZilla, though — it just worked. I'd ...

Empty file list when working with GoDaddy's FTP servers
Empty in Salamander, but filled with content in FileZilla. What can I provide you with to help you fix this?

Ability to copy names of files in the Find results panel
Today I needed to copy names of files that contained certain characters, but I couldn't find this feature in Salamander.

Re: Horribly slow file deletion (in AS 2.54 and 3.0 beta 1)
I have found the cause (not the cause but a case when the problem happens). The slowing down happens when Windows Speech Recognition is running. I thought that recommendations on http://auralbits.blogspot.com/2010/04/windows-speech-registry-hacking-for-fun.html would work, but they didn't. I have us...

I have considered that, SelfMan. Blaming it was the first thing I did. Turning Windows Defender off and on hasn't produced a change that I could perceive.

Yes, it is. Is there anything I can do to help your troubleshoot this?

Re: Horribly slow file deletion in AS 3.0 beta 1
The same (slow) in AS 2.54.
Deleting just a single file.
Same on flash drives.
Haven't tried network drives.

Horribly slow file deletion (in AS 2.54 and 3.0 beta 1)
When I delete them by SHIFT-Del, it takes about 5 seconds to do the job. Deleting to recycle bin takes no time. SHIFT-Del in Explorer exhibits no problem.

Re: UI too outdated
Jan, until you implement more important features (e.g., Unicode support, extracting files from an archive to an FTP panel), please don't spend time even thinking about changing UI!

Re: UI too outdated
Technically, they don't, but in practice, they do considering how few resources Altap devs have.

Re: UI too outdated
I think you should forget about changing the UI style and focus only on extending Salamander's functionality (Unicode support, etc.).

Re: Number of connections used by the FTP plugin
8.How many connections does the server allow?
How can I do that?Could you look at the copying process and see if it reconnects a lot?
Can this behavior be changed?

Number of connections used by the FTP plugin
I've run into a problem when transferring many small files. The server reports too many connections opened from my IP address. I've had this problem with FileZilla too, but it seems to have gone after I set the max number of connections to 1. How many connections does Salamander's FTP plugin use?
