Re: Keyboard file/folder search
Well, the problem arise when you have a folder and a file starting with the same letters then it is annoying. I do realize that I can press [Home] prior to starting my search, but it would be nice to have that feature for sure, it has worked like this in NC and DC for years. If it only could be a op...

Keyboard file/folder search
Hi Altap and board members. When I use keyboardsearch for a file or folder name then Altap Salamander is searching from where it is, meaning tha if there is no file/ folder name matching the keyboard input below the cursor position then it will start to search from where it is current position but i...

Re: Checking of file header
I guess there is always pros and cons... PRessing Alt plus enter would also list the file in the command line, etc, etc..... Anyway I see the point and do agree to some extend.... Now we just need to have the function avaliable within AS, that would be great :-) Thank you all for contributing to thi...

Re: Checking of file header
Hi Therube, Thank you for taking the time to answer my email. TriID, sounds interesting, can you clarify how this is supposed to work within AS, as I need some guidance in that area. I am not interested in it being extracted as I want to navigate around within the archive as one can do with a Zip fi...

Re: Checking of file header
Hi Ether,
What you are suggesting is a work around which is not a nice one either by the way.
What I suggested was a feature request, not a work around and I am sure that we are many which would welcom ethis feature!
Thanks for taking your time to review this!
Regards,
Kris

Checking of file header
Hi Guys, Often I come across files which are zip files or simmilar (arj...) but have a different extension as they have been renamed in order to pass through company firewalls. It would be nice if one could open it the standard way as it is possible if AS knows how to handle a zip file. The extensio...

Re: Missing features
Hi Ino,
Thank you for taking the time!
Yeah I am aware of this, I was just asking if it was possible to avoid having to gain focus on the command line first as you would not have to with many other NC clones.
Cheers,
Kris

Re: Missing features
I want the focus on the command line and then it should scroll through the history. just note: do you know that you can roll out any drop down list by using ALT+Down? It is default behaviour of the operating system gui. Hi Ino, Sorry but I do not quite understand what you mean by that, sorry ! If y...

Re: Missing features
Hi again Jan, I want the focus on the command line and then it should scroll through the history. I guess since you have implemented this function for scrolling in panel it will be hard to take away this feature (who would use that kind of scrolling??) anyway, I now realized that it is scrolling in ...

Re: Missing features

Re: Missing features
Hi again Jan, Well, I hope I am not a pain in the ass, but I think you are misunderstanding me. 1. I think it would make sense if pressing [Ctrl]+down arrow key that it then got the focus of the command line at the same time, as it makes no sense to first make the command line active, do you disagre...

Re: Quick search for filename in subfolders
Azaz44, I am with you on this one, when pressing space to get focus, then the seach menu should close.
If one want to search again, one will simple press [Alt]+F7, that's it!
Regards,
Kris

Re: Missing features
Hi Jan, Thank you for your prompt reply, it is appreciated! 1. I overlooked that one, that said I still find it strange that I have to activate the command line like that when [Ctrl] arrow up/down could do the focus on it's own, from what I can see then nothing happens to the panels when pressing [C...
