Salamander is reading the environment variable "ComSpec" to get the name of the command shell program which it starts when Num/ is pressed. So the solution is: In the settings of Console set the Shell entry to cmd.exe. In System properties set ComSpec to the complete path of console.exe. Of course ...

Thanks for the reply. If i understand correctly keymapping adjustment would allow me to change the hotkey that starts "cmd.exe" and not the actual program itself (maybe i misunderstood). #IfWinActive,ahk_class SalamanderMainWindowVer16 NumpadDiv:: run notepad RETURN But this won't open the cmd windo...

Change "command shell" here

Is there any way i could change the command prompt that's started by "Num /" ? I would like to replace the normal command prompt (cmd.exe) with Console . It's just a frontend for other console programs (like cmd.exe, 4NT, monad ...) but it's better than using cmd itself (resizable :D). I know i can ...

Yes, i can connect with Windows Explorer. I just type in the ip of the other computer (\\<ip>) and then the login dialog pops up. I enter the username, leave the password field blank and hit enter. It connects without a problem. I just tried Servant salamander again and this time it worked  s...

Login fails for users with empty passwords

I have two computers and on one of them i have a user that has no password set. When the normal windows login dialog appears i just hit enter. If i try to connect to the computer with Servant Salamander it will fail saying that no domain could accept my login or something similar. To connect to the ...

But you have to put your hands on the keyboard to write the name of the new folder, right ? ;) (so why not have them on the keyboard in the first place ?)

It seems that you haven't used that many file managers, most of them (if not all) use F7 to create new folders, it goes back to NC, MC and DN :)
I also think that F7 is the fastest way, you don't have to touch the mouse at all, just press F7, write the name and press <enter>.

Yes, Far showed processes in the panel and you could terminate them using the "delete" key. You could also search through them iirc.
Anyway, this is not such a big deal ... maybe some other developer(s) will take up the task once Altap release the SDK :)

Thanks for the reply. The downside to queued copy/move is that the operation is running while you're queueing other files/dirs. I would like the opportunity to remove some of the files i've copied to the temp panel (maybe because i don't want them, maybe because there's not enough space) before actu...

Yes but that starts another program. I was thinking altap would show the processes in the panel, just like it shows registry keys in the registry panel. I see you've replied to my other threads too :) ... are you familiar with Far ? most of my suggestions are based on that file manager, maybe you co...

Yes but that starts the event viewer management console. I was thinking altap could show the events in the panel, like they do with registry keys.

Command line autohide

When the command line is set to auto hide (it's not selected in the toolbars and you can show it with Ctrl + Tab) and you browse to a ftp/scp site or open an archive and then press Ctrl + Tab to open the command line it won't hide when you change focus from it. To hide it again you have to go to a l...

Wrapper for FAR plugins

I think this will never happen but i can dream, can't i ? :D Could you maybe create a plugin that works as a wrapper for FAR plugins ? So users could install and use plugins designed for FAR. The comunity behind FAR is very big, with a lot of plugins developed for all kinds of situations. If you cou...

NT Event viewer plugin

An NT Event viewer plugin to allow you to view NT Event logs might be handy in some situations. It could behave mostly like the registry plugin does now.
I often need to check the event logs for any errors or warnings and i hate it that i have to switch from SS :)
