Re: Windows 8: salmon.exe missing SALRTL9.DLL

Yes, I do and a new one: "Internal error: cannot load any language file. Please contact us at ...", after pressing ok: "Failed to load resources from English.slg" After installation of the release, I copied again the dll into the directory. And the new msg comes when I start AS (...

Re: Automation PlugIn: Can't execute JavaScript files (Beta

They are already named .js
I'm trying to run those in the installation dir:

Convert Images.js
Count Lines.js
Launch Elevated Command Prompt.vbs
Make Link.js
Make List (JScript).js
Make List (VBScript).vbs
Unpack Multiple Archives.js

Automation PlugIn: Can't execute JavaScript files (Beta 4)

"Run Focused Scripts" isn't enabled for JavaScript files, VBS yes.
Does he only use the default engine?
Or how can I execute JScript files?

Thanks

Skydrive - Missing shortcut

I'm using AS under Win8.1 and I'm missing the shortcut to the Skydrive Folder.

Under Win8.1 there are the Special Skydrive Folders shown in the Windows Explorer
without installing the Skydrive Client.

Is it possible to show the shortcut anyway?

Yes
Jan Rysavy wrote: Just for the test you can try to copy salrtd9.dll and salrtdp9.dll files from C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander (PB) to the C:\Program Files\Altap Salamander (PB)\utils directory.
That solves my problem. It starts without error.

Re: Error in Win8

Sorry, difficult to say. It is my Dev machine, so many Prg installed (Visual Studio, etc.). and at last VS Upgrade 3.
What I have also done, is installing the English language pack for Win8 (default installation was german).
So no idea, what exactly has changed.

Sorry

Re: Error in Win8

include your user to the local Admin group and move the UAC settings level to the highest ("Always notify me when:")
When it isn't that, let me know.

Re: Error in Win8

Seems to be a problem with UAC.
When I start AS as admin, no error msg.

I'm working in Win8 as Admin, but with the highest level of UAC.

Thanks

The two dialogs.

And it seems, he couldn't load IESHIMS.DLL. It's part of Internet Explorer.

Windows 8: salmon.exe missing SALRTL9.DLL

Since today I get error message when I start AS30b2 (x64).
First from salmon.exe: Missing SALRTL9.DLL, then that salmon.exe can't run without the DLL.

Not sure what had changed since yesterday, but after reinstalling still the same error.
And the DLL is there.

Thanks

Re: PB87 x64: "Find Files" makes AS unresponsive

Did some more tests. I don't see a huge difference between AS2.54 and AS3 in handles, threads or memory usage. One difference is that DEP is on for x64. To be more specific: with unresponsive I mean that I see the refresh of the window when I navigate. I'm still able to use AS. Usually after selecti...

PB87 x64: "Find Files" makes AS unresponsive

When I use "Find Files" and the same time using AS do to other things like directory browsing, AS seems to get 'saggy' and unresponsive. The refresh is very slow and navigating too. Don't have the same behavior with AS2.54.
Is it because of Stress Mode or a threading problem?

Copy / Move Hint

When I queued up some copy or move operations, I forgot where exactly my source and destination folders where. But because in the Copy & Move/Rename-Dialog not the full path is shown (shorten by ellipsis), would be great to have a full path hint, for example by hoovering with the mouse over the ...

Re: Development speed

Jan, I appreciate your answer and your work efforts. AS and his ecosystem are great, great work of you and your team. For sure I'm frustrated over the missing Unicode support, but I tried all the others file managers, always coming back to AS ;-) Still the best. My first intention wasn't to upgrade ...
