We have fixed violating of STA model of using COM objects (we have used one object in several threads). It seems to fix this problem: Salamander does not show icon overlays from Perforce now (so it behaves exactly as Windows Explorer). Thanks Martin (msaxer) for testing! Unfortunately I'm not sure ...

Martin, I have another question regarding your first post. Why the icon overlays are not visible on Windows Explorer screenshot? Does they appear randomly even in Windows Explorer ? Hi Jan, They don't appear at all in Windows Explorer. Thus my surprise to see that Salamander had a hook to that info...

Martin, in the first post you posted a screenshot of Salamander which seems to be OK -- all read-only files were marked with overlay. I'm confused. Right you are, sorry Jan. The first screenshot appears to be correct. However during normal usage the overlay icons appear somewhat randomly. The secon...

Perforce and Salamander vs. Total Commander overlays
Martin, could you please try Total Commander 7.0 Hmmm, they both seem inconsistent and wrong. Here's Salamander: http://aycu14.webshots.com/image/12733/2000345911967651124_rs.jpg And Total Commander: http://aycu36.webshots.com/image/12115/2000345795531924640_rs.jpg The right answer is that all of t...

RC3 - Icon overlay confused somehow?
I'm using Perforce, not CVS or SVN, but appear to be getting some icon overlays. The behavior appears to be somewhat random since only some of the files have the overlay icons. Here are a couple screenshots. First Altap Salamander (hmm...looks like the forums need to be renamed). Notice the green do...

Re: Directory locked after launching file in directory
Please follow this link http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/faulty_shell_extensions.html and let us know... Thank you, thank you, thank you! That did the trick. I had the RJHExtensions shell extension installed. After removing it and installing Clipboard Path , the only functionality I regularly used in R...

Directory locked after launching file in directory
Am I missing something? This has been my major pet peeve with Salamander (which is my favorite and most useful system tool!). Example: 1. Create a directory and put a PDF in it. 2. Double click (or press ENTER) on the PDF to launch PDF reader app. 3. Exit PDF Reader so that nothing should have a han...
