An UNC-Drive and it seems that this behaviour ONLY occurs, when I address a windows system directory, e.g. \\remotepc\Windows\System32 where local and remote system running Windows Vista.

Unfortunately not reproducable, normally copying with F5 works, but sometimes not (then Ctrl-C Tab Ctrl-V works).

Vista: Copy/Move to Network yields error/ Pasting not

Hello,

using Salamander 2.5 under Vista:

I get an Error (53) (Network path not found) when copying with F5 to some network path, using Ctrl-C in source and Ctrl-V in target works...

Any ideas, that's ANNOYING.

You mention the point I did not understand: The ext2 partition on the usb stick was never mounted, no driver was installed, it had no drive assigned and did not show up either in "My Computer" nor in any drive list of any programm... You could only see it in the drive management (Datenträg...

Ok, seems to be a problem of filesystem on the USB stick: If it contains an ext2 filesystem then the problem occurs, for any combination of NTFS and FAT32 (I tested some) there is no problem. Then I tested the behavior on changing drive attributes of the SAN and Salamander only has the problem IF TH...

Hello, OS: Windows XP SP2 and Windows XP Professional SP2 Easiest way to reproduce (with USB stick): * set USB stick to read only * stick it in * start salamander * go to a directory on the usb stick * try to move a file to your harddrive * message "read only" * switch USB stick to read-wr...

Changing Drive Attribute ReadOnly-> Full Access->Bum

NOTE 2006-03-31: SOLVED - NOT A SALAMANDER ISSUE Hi, using Salamder 2.5 Beta 11 and changing the drive attributes from readonly to full access (if you don't have a SAN, same problem with USB sticks occur): * Salamander does not recognize that he can now write, copy or move * Salamander closes withou...

Thanks! I've installed some tools on my USB stick and even if they support an INI-File there is always some correction needed. I tend to change configs in my script (see below) and there XML is more convenient for me than the INI-Format (even I speak SED, I really do not like the syntax). And file s...

Portabel SS needs Portabel Settings

Hello, like already discussed running SS from a "normal" USB-Stick (or a CD) would be more than convenient for me. But that's half the way: Currently I do not see a possibility to set the paths to the tools (archiver, editor, user menu) in a portable way. Even if variables are possible in ...
