With each coming version of Windows it becomes less practical to disable UAC, and even automatic administrator escalation is becoming more of a problem.
What is in Salamander currently is not bad, but it doesn't seem to work 100 % reliably.

Re: New Icons
I made these from scratch. Not saying they aren't BASED on them, but there's a difference. Also, I'm not the one trying to sell them. I'm just saying that whatever you guys choose to do with them is your own business, and you can take responsibility for that.

Re: Your Servant Salamander (screenshots)
Sorry to bring this one back after all this time, but it seems that the splash has been hidden in the new versions. Anyone know where to find it now?

Re: 64 bit version?
I found your post on that. that's actually 7Zip's fault. Here's an easy one. Install WinRAR, which does it right, and let me know how your right click function works. Also, iirc, 7zip worked fine for me (just don't like it).
TBH, you probably don't need it since you can just use the plugins.

STILL not seeing an actual complaint from you.vld wrote:The more and more I use Salamander in w7x64, the more and more I feel the need can't come quick enough. I am tired of switching between Salamander and W7 shitty explorer.

Re: 64 bit version?
I'm running it in x64 right now and have been for over a year. What now? Maybe you could post specific complaints instead of linking uselessly to threads so people can look at your lack of actual information twice.

New Icons
I've made some new icons for Salamander that are a bit more suitable for Vista/7. I'm sharing them so you can all enjoy. There are 4 icons, same colors as the default ones but a bit more high quality.
Each icon has the following size: 256x256 (alpha, vista/7 png), 48x48, 32x32, 16x16 (border ...

Re: 64 bit version?
I thought I'd give this thread a gentle nudge before it gets to its 3rd birthday :(

Re: Altap Salamander: UAC support
Both of these features seem to be pointless.
You won't get any benefits out of running salamander in x64... x64 just gives you more memory addresses, which we don't need. x64 only helps in applications which do lots of calculation or lots of memory usage.
UAC, well you guys already voted that out ...

Re: Automation Script Contest: 3 Free Salamander Licenses
Hi. Do you mean for us to post the scripts we submit in this thread, or just anywhere in the General Discussion board? (I just don't see any other submissions)
Also, is it limited to one script submitted per user?
