Strange lock on file operations (2.53)
I have some strange experience with AS using the latest 2.53 version (not sure if the latest beta had the same issue, but never with previous versions). From time to time when I delete, copy or move file/folder the appropriate dialog just stays like that (zero progress) for minute or so and then fin...

History clean-up for input boxes
I use History feature in AS, as it saves you from repetitive actions etc. but I can't find any option to delete specific item(s) from History drop-down for various input boxes, so I would like to propose something like this: http://imagebin.ca/img/20BUIW.png when user right clicks on drop-down arrow...

Flagging files
Here is some unorthodox idea, which may not be appreciated with the AS simple philosophy, but I want to know what others thinks, if any ;) Idea is optional flag column, aside normal selecting AS functionality. Lets say I'm working on a large list of files and I flag set of files "red", the...

Re: Filename "Clean Up"
VBS looks good and can be extended and works good, thou instead that like code lines I'll contribute with regex: http://imagebin.ca/img/9q8-6YgE.png like any regex it can be done in different ways, and on first try on set of example files I scrambled this: _|[ ]+|(\D)\.|\.(\D)|(\D)-(\D)|([a-z])([A-Z...

Re: Filename "Clean Up"
Thanks for your offer, I can handle regex pattern too, but what I have in mind, or what got me to this idea posting about "clean up", is feature that I noticed in foobar2000 audio player which is called Clean Up and does the job simply and quick (underscopes, redundant spaces...). I guess ...

Filename "Clean Up"
I miss a feature, so I would like to propose: Some downloaded files use some schemes like replacing space with dots or underscopes like: Altap Salamander 2.53 becomes Altap.Salamander.2.53 or Altap_Salamander_2.53 so idea is Clean Up function maybe in "Change case" command or in "Conv...

Re: Lost part of registry config after forced system restart
I changed them explicitly for some reason not known to me right now ;) However after I ticked on "Restore system settings and previous version..." just some minutes ago, System Restore dialog started to work and this is what I have right now: http://imagebin.ca/img/qldMkpz4.png It looks pr...

Re: Lost part of registry config after forced system restart
I can't follow what SelfMan wrote: In System Protection Configuration dialog I had turned on "Only restore previous versions..." setting, so "Restore system settings and previous version..." was unticked (I enabled it now for my future mis-usages) I have some data in System Volum...

Re: Lost part of registry config after forced system restart
Thanks for quick reply :) Yes, that was the message, and unfortunately I didn't make backup as I didn't think it would be that important thou dialog clearly says it - my fault anyhow. I have some registry backup ("export configuration" menu command) from march, but that user menu version i...

Lost part of registry config after forced system restart
I run 2.53b2 on Windows 7 32bit, and after some problem* I had to restart PC without closing open applications (amongs them AS). In the past, when I start AS after terminating it in unussual way it would throw dialog saying that there is configuration file from previous instance in temp folder and s...

Plugins toolbar with unnecessary menus
Minor issue, but curious: If user enables plugins toolbar, some of it actions (Batch rename, Compare files, Show Diskmap, FTP Search and others from 3rd party plugins) display drop-down menu when only one action is available all the time. Is it by design that plugins with only one action can't be tr...

Re: Automation Script Contest: 3 Free Salamander Licenses
I made simple script which outputs some data to .csv file. Then calling:
opens internal viewer instead associated database viewer. Why?
Code: Select all
Salamander.ViewFile(csv_file)

Fold "user menu" items in configuration page
can folding be introduced in "user menu" configuration preferences?
