Got it.

KIS 2010 Ver. 9.0.0.736 is the bad boy. After removing KIS AS got it's old speed when closing.

So I have to check out what to do. Removing KIS and using another product or livin with this problem and keep AS most time open.

Maybe ALTAP can contact Kaspersky to analyse the coexistence of ...

- no ctfmon running
- no othere spyware defense software
- in SAFE-Mode AS has it#s old speed and closes immediately

so I will uninstall KIS for testing again and will keep you informed.

yes it's the same as when I close it.
So i did'nt mention it. I have Win 7 64 bit professional and Win 7 32 bit Home premium.

On Vista Ultimate 64 and XP absolute no problem.

2.52 works perfect in WIN 7 when running, but when I close Salamander and it's saving the Configuration to the registry,
this takes extremly long time. (up to a minute). I have the same behavior on a Notebook with Win 7 also.
With Vista or XP I don't/didn't have these problems.
