Separator between right-click menu Delete/Rename items
I often need to rename files, and do so by right-clicking the file then selecting Rename. Unfortunately Delete is just above Rename and, from time to time, I will accidently delete the file I wanted to rename. Luckily I can recover the file through the Recycle Bin so it is more of an irritation than...

Re: HiDPI support
As an interim measure you can create an external manifest for Salamander that specifies dpiAware as False. That, along with a registry setting that specifies external manifests take preference over internal manifests, has saved my eyesight on a high DPI monitor.

Re: Compare is not detecting upper and lower case.
The Windows OS is case insensitive (unlike Linux) so I would assume this is normal behaviour.

Re: UltraHD monitor display
My 3.07 looks okay with dpiAware set false, at least I can use it and the icons are big enough to actually click. Other users experiences might differ.
I do have my manifest work-around so it's no biggie if the setting is not changed.

Brett

Re: UltraHD monitor display
Until such time as high DPI support is complete can you please set the dpiAware setting in the internal manifest to false (in upcoming 3.08). That will at least allow clean display on UltraHD monitors. I am using a work-around suggested elsewhere to have an external manifest, and the manifest extrac...

UltraHD monitor display
I am testing our own application on a Samsung UltraHD monitor and notice that elements of Salamander do not scale well. The monitor is set to a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (recommended) and Windows display scaling is set to 200% (so I can actually read things). I have attached images of the icons and ...

Re: Automation plugin with JScript
Thanks Madison. Neither of those commands worked for me but it did put me on the right track. From Salamander I opened the scripts folder and double-clicked on of the js files. Windows then prompted me as to which program I wanted to use to execute the file and, once I selected the Script Host, I co...

Automation plugin with JScript
Running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 with Salamander 3.05 x64 Following on from the topic http://forum.altap.cz/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=75 , I decided to look into the Automation plugin and, unlike the screen shot in the referenced topic, I find that only the vbs scripts are available from the plugin menu. Th...

Re: Alt+Left is broken
Mine still works (3.03 x64 on Win8.1). Might be some sort of key mapping has interfered ?

Re: SystemDrive environment variable not set
Checked on my Windows 8 with the same setup and my SystemDrive variable is present so it is probably not a general problem with Salamander.

Re: Missing network drives letters [as30b1x86 + W8 64]
I tried mapping the network drives a second time through Salamander run as Administrator but after a restart they disappeared again. I found that the solution given above - modify registry - add/modify entry EnableLinkedConnections under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\...

Re: Missing network drives letters [as30b1x86 + W8 64]
I found that running AS 3.0 as Administrator did not show any mapped drives in the drive list but running without Administrator rights did show them. This is a contrast to what I experienced with AS 2.54 running as Administrator which is a PITA as I now have to run a second copy of AS 3 with Adminis...
