Re: Issue with FIND
I just found what you were talking about. Open up a FIND dialogue box, select "Options", select "Manage" The next screen had the a:\sysnative\drivers listed 2x and the box at the bottom "Load this setting when the Find dialog is opened" was checked. I un-checked the box...

Re: Issue with FIND
I found - reg:\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Altap Salamander 3.08\ Configuration\Look In History It contains 30 lines of history, which I assume is normal. I also found - reg:\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altap\Altap Salamander 3.08\ Configuration\Find Options\2\LookIn - a SZ key containing the na...

Issue with FIND
I'm in a directory, want to do a search (find) in that same directory, I used to hit CTRL-F, up popped the search screen and the "Look In" directory was filled in with the current directory I was focused on. Now, an old search directory (I assume) - "A:\sysnative.com\drivers" sho...

Re: URL Formation via "Copy path + name as text"
Replacing it is not a problem at all -- that's what I usually do. I paste it into a browser address bar, get rid of the "public_html", then get rid of the FTP prefix; replacing it with "www". I asked if there was an easier way to format the URL as I'm always on FTP and copy a lot...

URL Formation via "Copy path + name as text"
Hi. . . Due to Photobucket's recent decision to charge $399/year for 3rd party site linking to Photobucket photos, my tech forum site will be hosting all images, but many hundreds of imbedded URLs need to be changed. I have copied all of the screenshots to our server using Altap -- using the same pa...

Copying SEARCH Hits
I have of course used CTRL-F to find anything + everything on my system with Altap Salamander. My question is with the search results. There is an option to "SELECT ALL"; then COPY. But nothing goes to the clipboard. If I get 55 results in the search box, how can I copy that info out to cl...

Thank you for answering that incredibly dumb question!
I see acronyms everywhere and do not always quickly pick up on them.

Re: USB Devices Not Found in Altap Salamder
Thank you for the reply and I will try your suggestions.
I am currently on a 6,000 mile road trip between NJ, Texas and Florida. I am still in Florida, putting my return trip off as long as possible to continue to enjoy the beaches & pools + 95°F daily temps with 95% humidity.
Thanks,
John

USB Devices Not Found in Altap Salamder
I sometimes copy files from my phone or GPS (it has a built-in camera) to my laptop. I would very much like + prefer to use Altap Salamander for such tasks, but so far, I see no option to select the attached-by-USB-cable device or any of its folders/files anywhere in Salamander. The devices do appea...

Re: 3.08 Windows 10 drag and drop url from browser to AS file panel
Then it should work, although I think you should not put data in to the "Program files" nor "Program files (x86)" folders. Yet there is one more possibility - there are domain policies applied, which prevent certain actions. Agree... not to mention that \Program Files + \Program...

Re: Confirm DELETE
Hi -
Just wanted to post back that this is now SOLVED. I am running v3.04 x64 and al is well.
I think what happened originally is that I was "fooling around" with the config settings and likely checked or un-checked a box related.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
jcgriff2

Re: Confirm DELETE
I'm using the F8 key in Salamander (or clicking on "F8* Delete") I don't generally use Windows Explorer at all ever since finding Altap Salamander in 2008. EDIT: I have the "Recycle Bin" configuration setting set to "Remove files and directories immediately when deleted"...
