I think the reason many people don't like the name because of the name salamander. Changing to Altap Salamander won't make much difference i think. Are Firefox , Thunderbird , SeaMonkey , Opera , Tortoise better names? We don't think so. It looks like the problem is in Servant part of name. It is n...

Yes... but wouldn't you like different column layouts (assuming more columns are on the way some day)? No, not really. The available columns are enough for me and I do not know, which information should be added. I use Salamander for managing files, for viewing I use external apps which were built ...

No need for saving views for different folders, because I do not use anything but the detailled view. But tabbed panels would be great.

Could you please use the new Servant Salamander icon for at least two weeks? I use it for two weeks now 27.01. - 10.02. :-) Do you have problem to associate the new icon with Servant Salamander? Or there is a visual conflict with some similar looking icon? (Outlook, Firefox,...) Absolutely, look he...

Re: Files - Email will not work with Pegasus Mail

... If I replace the original mapi32.dll with the one from winpmmapi.exe, I get an error message that no mapi32.dll was found (!). The mapi-files from winpmmapi.exe are from 1997. Who wrote that you have to replace the existing mapi32.dll? The extracted version should be renamed to mapi32x.dll. The...

Re: Files - Email will not work with Pegasus Mail

... I will try to compare the whole stuff with my home-machine in the evening. I after comparing my two installs, here is how I got the Pegasus MAPI working on both machines. The wpmmapi.exe installer failed to do this. 1. Create a temporary folder 2. Copy C:\Winnt\system32\mapi.dll (~525 KB) to th...

Re: Files - Email will not work with Pegasus Mail

Roger, the Simple MAPI layer (named mapi32.dll) is definetely needed. How did you install it? Is it part of standard Pegasus Mail 4.31 setup? There is a wpmmapi.exe in the Pegasus install-dir per default, which is able to install Mapi and Simple Mapi. The description is confusing, so I do not know ...

Re: Files - Email will not work with Pegasus Mail

The command 'Files - Email…' doesn't work on my system (Win XP Home, SP2, all recent updates). After clicking 'Yes' in the confirmation dialog nothing happens. For me it works on Windows 2000 with Pegasus 4.31. Did you install Pegasus' Simple MAPI? It seems that I've installed it (too long ago to r...

Local network problem

Hi, I have three machines connected with a D-Link DSL router (2 x W2000, 1 x W98SE). When I want to access e.g. my son's shared folders from my machine (bothW2000), I use the "Change Drive" button, then "Network Neighborhood" and "Computers Near Me" to get a list of con...

Add an APPLY button just like every other Windows program has!
For what? The main-window will not become usable before the prefs are closed.

This seems to work fine. Tested it three times.
