Customization lost after each session.

Everytime I make a prefence change, or change something in the user bar, all my changes are gone the next time I launch Sal.

I hope you're not going to tell me that I have to save the configuration every time I make a change. That would be rediculous, so it can't be that! :)

Re: Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

Add ten more Hot Paths that don't have ANY short-cuts associated with them. I would use them! There might be one or two others that might use them as well.

Re: Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

I guess I'm confused. I thought we were talking about the short-cuts used to create a hot path, not the short-cuts used to display a short-cut.

I any event, for what it's worth, I would like to see the option to have more hot paths and don't care if there are any short-cuts associated with them.

Re: Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

Well then who needs a short-cut to add a hot path? The important thing is providing more hot paths. I don't have to have a short-cut to add a hot path. If I have to click a plus sign or whatever to add a hot path, no problem. Once my hot paths are in place, I would only be adding or changing them on...

How can I show an expanded tree view?

I've looked twice through the impressive keyboard shortcut list and cannot find a way to expand a folder's tree, like shown above.
Is there a way to do this, or is Shift-F3 the answer.

Re: Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

I know what already exists and am simply pointing out that by using digits, the designers have limited the number of hot paths to 10. If they changed to the alphabet (a-z) there would be 26 available slots. Perhaps I'm the one weirdo in a million that needs more hot paths. And for that reason, I sus...

Re: Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

Instead of digits, use letters. Ctrl-a, Ctrl-b. That would give us 26.

Re: Newbie has some very basic questions

Well I have made the decision to go with the Salamander! I have to get used to the paradigm, but it'll be well worth it!
Both Directory Opus and Total Commander are too clunky for me. And the Sal is cheaper than both, though that had no bearing on my decision.

Increase Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20

Could you increase the number of allowable Hot Path Bar Items from 10 to 20? I'm pretty sure this won't add much more memory.

Re: Newbie has some very basic questions

There's something that really bugs me. You guys have never selected a folder, then Ctrl-c, then Ctrl-v at the destination? It is almost a must in Windows Explorer. Perhaps you are used to the dual directory that Windows Explorer has never had. I'm not used to this paradigm. It'll take time to get us...

Re: Newbie has some very basic questions

Things brings up the question about consistency.

When I drag and drop a folder from the left pane to the right pane, why don't I get the Copy dialog box?
