Re: File Comparator - Shortcut Keys
Good to know, I didn't notice that either before... I just have to remember it; It will particularly useful for me since on my work computer the Alt+up shortcut does not work (weird physical issue with my keyboard, it works with other keyboards but I like that one better)

Re: Replacing WinSCP with sftp plugin on AS x64 4.0
For the port: I just added ":xxx" after the server address, where xxx is the SSH port number of my server For the key error that I had, I just unchecked the option to use Putty (as my error mentioned in the message above was related to that) and it seems that it is ok for it to work withou...

Re: Replacing WinSCP with sftp plugin on AS x64 4.0
As I did not find anything in the log (like if it did not reach the server) I checked again the setting and the IP displayed, then I noticed it tried to connect to port 22... which is the default one, not the one of my server  After putting the correct port I get the next error, more explicit ...

Re: Replacing WinSCP with sftp plugin on AS x64 4.0
Hi,
Thanks for providing a solution for the WinSCP issue
However I could not get it working...
As error message it just says "Error: failed to connect to the given server!"
is there a way to get more details about the error?

Re: Bug in date/time change of file
I also have Win10 64-bit and a NTFS disk, and the "bug" is visible. Now we are outside daylight change, so a file from this month has the same time in Windows Explorer & Salamander. But if you take a file from the summer, there is 1h difference between the two programs. The other way r...

Re: Bug in date/time change of file
Hi, I dig up this thread since it is the most recent one I found about this problem... I'm surprised to see that the bug still exists in the current version... more than six years later :/ To be honest, I only discovered it recently. Was it introduced somewhere around that time (2010) ? Or was it al...

I think that I had that with both small bitmap/jpeg files, and larger files like rar series of files, as those are the kind of files that I handle the most often. For images I have XnView's extension showing preview in context menu, for rar there is WinRAR's contextual menu, but none is involved whe...

Deletion of files - sometimes one is "locked"
I think that it started to appear with 2.52 b1, probably due to the auto-refresh (my guess) : when I select "lots" of files (e.g. 50 or 100) and delete them with shift+delete, it often happens that for one of the files it randomly says that the file is locked and cannot be deleted. If I cl...

Re: Problem disappeared?
The only delay I've noticed is when deleting files. I am used to hit the del- and enter-key almost simultaneously. I can't anymore. The confirmation-form just closes. BTW. I'm not on Vista yet (why should I?). The good ol' XP Pro works like a charm. I have such "problem" too, but I alread...

Drag & drop of links/images from Firefox 3
Hi, I did not find references to this in other topics, maybe I am the only one to use that or maybe I am the only one to have this problem: Since I moved to Windows Vista, I cannot anymore drag & drop links from Firefox 3 address bar (the icon on the left of the url) to Salamander folder to make...

FTP client and auto-refresh
Hi, I noticed something in the 2.52 beta 1 : I upload a small file to my FTP, it asks if I want to overwrite it. At the same moment, Salamander shows a window behind that one saying that the connexion is closed, asking if I want to reconnect it. I guess that it is due to the auto-refresh of non-acti...
